Henry Kanter is Director of Operations at Anderson Robbins Research. Henry manages the implementation of opinion research—something he’s been doing since the days when surveys required interviewers to knock on doors. He specializes in the nuts and bolts of survey research, ensuring that methodologies are realistically designed and properly executed.
Over his career Henry estimates he has managed the fielding of 5,000 research studies using virtually every existing market research methodology, including telephone, Internet, and mail surveys, opinion leader and executive interviews, mall intercepts, focus groups, exit polling, and nationwide door-to door surveys.
Henry began his career as the field director at Cambridge Reports, Inc., where he spent 5 years managing the fielding of a quarterly national door-to-door survey about trends in American attitudes. When the founder of Cambridge Reports, John Gorman, left to start his next company, he took Henry with him. For the next twenty years Henry served as vice president of operations for Opinion Dynamics Corporation where his primary responsibility was to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the organization’s research.
Henry is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where he studied Research Methods and Analysis while majoring in Sociology.
Henry and his girlfriend Cindy live in Norfolk with their three children, dog and five cats. Henry volunteers at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing home doing pet therapy for the residents. He is also an avid cyclist, annually participating in the Pan-Mass Challenge, a 200-mile ride to benefit the Jimmy Fund.
